All Star: Reading the lines- English

Today in English, we had to find 2 personifications and 2 metaphors in the lyrics of the song All Star. I worked with Jess for this.

Personification & Metaphors- English

Today in English we had to research what a Personification or Metaphor is and then write what it meant in our own words. Jess and I chose to do both of them.

While we have been making storyboards for our English. The storyboard is for the song 'All star'. Here is mine and Jess's one.

My Greatest Hits- English

Another activity we had to do for "My greatest hits" was to make our own album cover. My album cover is called 'Cloud Nine'.

My Greatest Hits- English

In English we had been doing My Greatest Hits. For this we had to write what we saw on the cover of the album, then choose 3 albums to write about. We had to write about why the artist wrote this album and the meaning of it.

All Star- Smash Mouth- English

In English we have been doing a lot of stuff around "All Star" by Smash Mouth.  The first activity we did was to write down our first impressions about the song. The next activity was to write out each line of the song and get pictures or write what we thought the line meant or pictures relating the that line.

2020 Calendar - Mandarin

In Mandarin we have been making calender's for 2020. They have to have Chinese on them as well. Our theme was native birds of New Zealand.

Mandarin Dialogue- Mandarin

In Mandarin we came up with a Mandarin dialogue. I made one with Jess. This is it.

Year Of The Pig- Mandarin

In Mandarin, we made a poster to celebrate the Chinese, Year of the pig. We made posters for the year of the pig. Here is mine.

My New Zealand Poster- NZL

In NZL we made posters about New Zealand. I put pictures of iconic New Zealand things in mine.

My Idol- NZL

The person I look up to is Sophie Pascoe

Sophie Pascoe is a New Zealand Para-Swimmer. She has represented New Zealand three times at the Summer Paralympic Games. Sophie was accidentally ran over by her dad on the ride on lawnmower, which resulted in both of her legs going under the blade. Her left leg was amputated below the knee, while her right leg was left with severe scarring.

I love to swim and I have gone to swim meets over in Christchurch and Blenheim. I would love to go to bigger meets around the South Island like Sophie Pascoe did.

I would love to meet Sophie Pascoe or get her signature. We both share the same interests in competitive swimming.
