Foods I would put down my sink-

  • Tomato Sauce
  • Olives
  • Salmon
  • Seafood Chowder
  • Pickles
  • Mustard
  • Mussels

There is plenty more but I will not list them as it might take a wee while. :)

  1. Good morning Caitlyn,

My name is Rachel and I am working with the Summer Learning Journey blogging programme this year. We are thrilled that you have joined us and already posted so many activities. Wow!

We are also very sorry that it has taken so long to write you back. Unfortunately, your registration didn't come through so we weren't aware that you were participating, until you kindly emailed us. Thanks for doing getting in touch! We're really looking forward to working with you this summer.

I must admit that, as soon as I read this post, I had to smile because I would put many of the same foods in my sink as well. In fact, olives, mussels, salmon and seafood chowder would definitely be headed for the sink in my house. My partner, Andy, loves all of these food items, however, so we have to compromise and I sometimes make dishes that include mussels or salmon as a treat for him! What about you? Do the rest of your family members like the foods that you have listed or are you all on the same page?

I hope that you and your family are all having a great summer holiday together. Do you have any special plans for the break? We are hanging around in Auckland because I am working most days but we always take time together in the afternoons to have a little adventure. I think that we might go for a little bush walk this afternoon (if the weather holds and it doesn't rain)!

Wishing you a lovely day and a great start to 2019. We'll look forward to blogging with you throughout the month.

See you online again soon, I hope!

    Best,
    Rachel :)

    1. Hello Rachel,

I hope you have a great 2019 as well! Well my mum doesn't like Olives, Salmon, Seafood Chowder, Pickles and Mussels, but my dad loves all of them!

In the holidays we have been to the lake a few times and we are planning on going some more! We have a jetboat and we take it out to Lake Brunner. I love to waterski and biscuit and swim in the warm water.

    2. Hi Caitlyn,

Thanks for writing back so quickly! It is interesting, isn't it, that some of us really love certain foods while others can't stand them. I think that it is what makes us all so interesting and unique!

Have a great time at Lake Brunner. I am also a huge fan of waterskiing, tubing and swimming!

      Bye for now :)
