SLJ, Scaling New Heights- Day 4, Activity 1

Questions I would like to ask Sir Edmund Hillary-

  1. What made you want to climb Mount Everest?
  2. How long did it take you to climb the mountain?
  3. Were there times when you regretted climbing the mountain?
  4.  How long did you walk a day?
  5. When you got to the top what was the first thing you did?

  1. Hi Caitlyn
I think these are good questions. I would like to hear his replies and answers. I think Sir Edmund Hillary was a brave man. Be sure to check out my blog too please. I think you know how to get to it but just in case, here is the URL. Just copy and paste it into the URL box thingy:)...

    Blog ya later:)

    1. Thanks, I think I know how to do it, but thanks anyway :)

  2. Hi Caitlyn

You have come up with some really great questions to ask Sir Edmund Hillary. He truly is a great New Zealander.
Wouldn't it be great if you could actually find out the answers to these questions. I wonder how he would feel when they were climbing. If things happened like they thought they would. Did they feel like stopping?
The effort to make this climb must be huge.
Imagine the view at the top! On a clear day it must be amazing.
It must be hard climbing so high with the oxygen getting thinner the higher that you climb. Also carrying all the breathing gear.
Would you like to climb a mountain like Mount Cook or Mount Everest?
I really don't like being cold so its not something that I would like to do.
Great to see that you are getting lots of comments on your posts. Make sure you return the comments to others. And make sure that your comments are at least 3 sentences long and mention something about what the person has done.

    Keep up the good work!

    Until next time

    Allie :)

    1. Hello Allie,

The view really would just be incredible! Just imagine what you would be able to see!

Climbing mountains is not something I would really want to do as I wouldn't really like being that high.

      From Caitlyn :)

Thanks for your positive, thought and helpful comment on my work.
