    1. HI Jess,

Thanks for commenting on my blog. It would be cool to go see it in real life.

  2. Hi Caitlyn

You are so right, Tane Mahuta is Massive!! It is well worth the trip to the top of the north island to see him.
I am lucky enough to have seen him. I was born in Northland so I have lived up there for a few years. And he truly is magnificent. Its hard to believe that a tree can be that amazing but he really is.
I really hope that the disease that is effecting the kauri trees is able to be controlled soon as it is getting pretty close to where Tane Mahuta is. Within 100 metres I think!
It is great that all of the visitors are obeying the rules and washing their shoes when they enter and leave the forest. Great that they are doing their part to help things.
I really hope that you are able to get there one day to see him. You will have to put this on your list of places to visit.
How many people do you think it would take to join hands around him? It would certainly be a few!!

    Keep up the great work!

    Until next time

    Allie :)

    1. Hello Allie,

I think it would take around 10. I would love to visit this amazing tree someday and I will definitely put it on the list of places to visit.
